Catherine Gladwell – Founder and Programmes Manager
Catherine is responsible for the overall management of RSN and has worked with refugee and asylum seeking children in the UK and internationally for the last seven years, in both education policy and programmes. She is a qualified teacher and has an MA in Education and International Development. Catherine speaks fluent French and Spanish and is studying Arabic. She also works part time as a consultant for various organisations including several UN agencies and Save the Children.

Hannah Elwyn – Mentoring Coordinator
Hannah is responsible for our three mentoring programmes, including the recruitment, training and support of our volunteers. She also carries out support work for separated children and coordinates the social programme. Hannah previously worked developing an education and social programme for displaced children in Northern Uganda, and has also worked supporting detained asylum seekers in the UK. She has an MA in Theory and Practice of Human Rights, with a particular focus on unaccompanied minors in the UK.

Sarah Lyall – Higher Education Support Worker
Sarah runs RSN's work helping young refugees and asylum seekers to access university. Sarah has worked with young people on education projects for a variety of NGOs in Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Thailand, and began her involvement with RSN as a summer intern, conducting research into access to higher education for young refugees and asylum seekers.

Mary Mitchell – Women’s Development Worker and Communications Officer

Mary has been working with asylum seekers and refugees for the last five years in the UK and has also worked for a variety of national and international NGOs in Central Asia in a communications and fundraising capacity. She is a qualified ESOL teacher, and coordinates RSN’s international women’s group. Mary has an MSc in Forced Migration, and also works as a freelance journalist.
